Here's my platoon in December 1967, pictured in front of the huts we built and the adjacent outhouses. Many of us remember these as some of the best days of our lives. The gentleman in the left rear, nicknamed "Tree," stood at least 6-foot-4. We joked, "Nobody would shoot you; they'd mistake you for a tree." ReplyDeleteI can name the 5 of us in the picture that went to special forces I still stay in touch with them and I have a bunch of pictures of our time at camp Crockett on the back side of fort Gordon ga where we all were got a dose of agent orange Bill Grist concord nc
